Appreciate the info. I have hazmat. 6 yrs now. My trucks a sleeper I bought. 2007 international 9400. I'm a company driver now, home daily & would like to stay that way. Sleeper truck might come in handy if I do decide to take a over nighter. I have that option ..also if I'm held up somewhere. Laying in a sleeper beats over the steering wheel ...I paid cash for my truck so no note to pay. I make 1250-1350 gross a week now as a company driver .... I bought truck at first in hopes of putting a driver in it. BUT VERY VERY HARD TO FIND 1!!... So that's why I'm looking into intermodal. But if I can't make at least 2k a week after cost it prolly isn't worth doing ... The trucks just sitting in my driveway for a month now. Lol. I here people talk about across town loads? I think I'd rather have long runs. Like 500 mile days but I'd do whatever paid the $$

Thanks for the info. I've researched different 1's & ya here bad things but doesn't mean everyone has same experience.... Looked at container port especially cause there 100% owner operator... & looked @ Roadone, XPO, there's several around Columbus. Kinda $ realistically can a new guy expect gross?.....

12-1800 depends on how hard you want to work . i worked for them 5 years or so out of the stlouis terminal . never a issue with pay , gets slow sometimes but that all freight . i do not work for them now . but still think they are the best container company o have worked for and i've worked for a few . red bird , jeffco etc . i've been o/o since 2006. driving since 1993 .

I appreciate the info. Is container hauling have long runs?... Or mostly short? I'd like to be home daily buy overnight here & there wouldn't be bad. Did u ever have runs that used max driving hours? Like 300 miles 1 way or were they much shorter? Paid by mile, load, or %?....

Depends on the co. you lease on too. Some companies just run local work, others regional. most have a mix of work. It really depends! Pretty sure you want to lease on to a co. that pays by % of the load....
