Just a shame when we graduate with a degree we knew was useless and can't find a job to repay those loans. Not our fault though. The school shouldn't have made those fun degrees and the government shouldn't have given us the loans.

 

It is a pretty good thread. I find it funny and rather interesting just how many drivers follow the daily antics of the folks in Green.

We need a name for our little Soap Opera.

And find a way to monetize it too... LOL

I know a few colleges that are offering at Degree in Brewing Beer... now where was that 30 years ago when I wasted my money on an Ag Business Degree???

Soon, per Hillary, those degrees will all be FREE, and then watch how expensive those free educations are going to be... LOL

I think she wants to make community college free. Would that make getting your CDL free since about every community college has CDL training now? How would that affect trucking? This is Abilene related of course.

Finally rolling...sitting here in jarrett with 4-5 of my closest company friends...eventually going to brooklyn with this load.

Fuel pumps at yard are blocked off. Every reefer that was full of fuel also had stuff in it. So topped off mine at pilot.

Backing up to wednesday, wife came onboard for ridealong. Things were moving along fine till friday dispite the rain, nyc, wife in tiny mack, sleeping at reciever, and a short distance load. Headed back to sandston va for saturday morning drop. And all of a sudden my wipers stop working. In the rain. Luckily the nearest safe haven was also petro, diagnosed as wiper motor, parts place closed and opened on monday. Notified dispatch, load pushed back till monday, dodged the rain on way back saturday and got home that evening.

Sunday Don calls with preplan to somers ny, tell him of truck. Come in monday morning amd end up having to go get my own parts, and garage takes most of the day. Was pulled from my nice hp load and given this bh brooklyn.

Is it to much to ask to have garage say its gonna be most of day instead of "couple hours""another hour" also would have been nice to know load got pulled....o well. All part of the abilene experience
