When I was young anyone over 30 was an old geezer.
I am so glad I'm cool and keep in shape so the youngsters think I'm relevant

The issue is law enforcement .. society now thinks it's their right to drive any way they please.. so many dangerous habits are now commonplace it's no wonder that even the so called professionals think it's ok

So you want to discriminate based on age? I know athletes that have dropped dead at a young age. My grandfather was a large man and the doctor gave him 6 months to live because of an enlarged heart. The SOB died 8 years later.
You can't throw the same blanket over everyone. That is the problems with the regulations today. This was one accident with a man in his 60's, YOU do not even know what caused the accident and automatically assume his age had something to do with it. I would bet that the overwhelming majority of truck accidents happen with the driver being under 35.
Not everyone gets all those diseases you mentioned. The only reason that there are so many is because we developed a way to detect them and gave them a name. They have always been here, they are not new.
For all we know the guy was just not paying attention.4mer trucker Thanks this. -

That was a really nice Volvo too.
In the drivers defense, who likes to drive on I-64 anyway? If the INDOT truck chose not to be working there at that time, this probably never would have happened, so at least 51% of the blame goes on INDOT.
The driver was probably pressured by dispatch to continue a run in which he wanted to shut down, but couldn't for fear of reprisals against him.
As far as discriminating on age. Well yes. Young people have driven me just about banana's with their piss poor work ethic, thin skin, political correctness, and sense of entitlement. I don't even have enough time or bandwidth to get started on the college grad's in the office. So yea I discriminate.NavigatorWife and Gatordude Thank this.
