Been thinking about this "photo contest" idea... thinking we should encourage everyone here, especially the new drivers, to submit photos of the interesting stuff we come upon while out n about... then make up the most outlandish category for which they are submitting the photo.
"Best Back around a dumpster, two cars, and a kid"... "Best Blue Beacon Bath"... "Most Creative Way to Avoid a Blindside".... "Truck, Wyoming, nuff said"... "Sharpest Truck at the PFJ lot"... "Newbie Back of the Month"... etc.ChrisL, 460/580, dennisroc and 1 other person Thank this. -
And of course we all want to see the pretty landscape shots of our pretty green trucks in various landscapes of different States too.
dennisroc and 4mer trucker Thank this. -

Well now that i am back i can say that yesterdays run to brooklyn, then jfk, and back to richmond required creativity, some tools from the toolbag, and some personal sacrifice. Paul harvey prolly has some more details on that trip
Things learned on this trip include that it is Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana, and that those who celebrate it dont work. Which explains why traffic was so light.
Also learned today The whitestone bridge in nyc has ezpass lanes, and cash lanes, however not both. It took 2 pictures of Andrew Jackson and 3 pictures of George Washington to escape. Previously learned that the many small no truck signs actually mean something there, (crazy since all the rest of truck signs cry wolf 12'2" anyone?) as in all tires will rub the concrete curbs....
Now time to sleep then back to the big city tomorrow morningRedtwin Thanks this. -
@Finfn1372, redtwin covered the usual pickups from that way. I'd add the random broker load from one of the many PA DCs. Also the service plazas on i90(mass turnpike) are tiny and creatively hold 5-10 trucks at best. I wouldnt count on parking in them
Finfn1372 Thanks this. -
