Hello i have a 2006 volvo 780 with a eaton 10 spd auto and a volvo d12 engine. Lately it has been cutting off for a split second and back to normal again. it feels like it has no power to the accelerator pedal and in a second or so it goes back to normal. it always did it once or twice a month but now it does it a lot of times within the hour.
I have replaced the pedal, the input shaft speed sensor and still has the same problem. weird thing is that it will not give me any codes at all.
Checked my batteries my cables and they are good. Also if i stop shut it off and let it cool down it will stop doing it for about 4 hours and back to cutting off again
Anyone else has had this problem? Did you find the issue? Any help would be appreciated
Thank you.

Engine harnesses?
El-troker0 Thanks this. -
Do your dash lights go on and off when it does this, like you turned the key?
BoxCarKidd and El-troker0 Thank this. -
Checked engine harness and they look fine. checked for bad cables too. nothing.
No dash lights turn on but when it happens the gear indicator goes blank then back to what ever speed the truck is on -

Assuming the gear shift/indicator is on a stalk, check that harness. Especially check where it passes through the floor, the swivel down by the seat base, and where it goes into the control head. It is most likely chafed at one of those points.

check your fuses; road vibration may of back one off slightly to create this affect. (been there, found that)

I had a problem like that . Found a lose wire to terminal connection at the starter.it would come and go
El-troker0 Thanks this. -
Check the small wires going to the battery terminals. 2 positive and 2 negative. They are for the engine ECM and trans ECU. Wiggle them around. Even if they look good, the ring terminal may be broken under the insulation and you won't see the break unless you cut the insulation open, but it will feel loose even if the battery nut is tight. Also the trans harness under the floor mat in front of the driver's seat could be corroded (common problem).
El-troker0 and BoxCarKidd Thank this. -
Closer to an 96 than an 06 but I went to one that have been doing that and shut down. It would spin over with the starter but not start. A test light would light between the engine and the frame. Could not find a ground wire between them. It had been grounding through the engine mounts, drive line, etc. for 400,000 miles.
El-troker0 Thanks this.
