Here in my area 700 is good, below 600 they have to go to a buy here pay here lot. My point is with marginal credit u can buy new with lower payments then u can buy used. They always opt for low payments

Every time I see one of those MetroGistics loads I just laugh and shake my head. .17cpm for a full load going less than 1000 miles. I keep asking myself, who the h3ll see's these loads and says "Looks good to me! I'll take it!"

Do they have any business sense at all? It's not even worth it to touch a load like that just for the fuel money. At those rates, I can bet the house that they're making more money than the truck is, which is utterly absurd.

I bet more than half metro loads they make more than the truck. I remember calling about a load paying .38 cm to find out it was 3 pick ups and 3 drops spread out 150 miles and I said thanks but no thanks. He said don't call us just for the good loads and I laughed, I have never seen a good paying load from metro.

Why were you even calling on it at .38/mi? That's not worth calling on if it was a 1p/1d load of Miatas

I feel like fuel mileage goes out the window the farther you get away from reefers and vans..... and empty flats.

I pulled a gooseneck with 20k of used tires on it. When empty I would be lucky to get 6 mpg with a 5500 dodge because like a car hauler, EVERY bar or post will catch wind and rob fuel mileage. When I pulled an empty flatbed without a cage on it I would get 10 mpg from Glendive to Helena.
