How would a 1/8 strap handle an 80 amp load?
How do you think a 1/8 inch ground strap would last in this particular application?

Notice he never reponded. I suspect relying on a 1/8" strap to handle that much current, it would probably vaporize the strap and cause a chain reaction of bad events.
bored silly Thanks this. -

Rf and dc potential must be equal. If amp and radio draw 200 amps then rf ground straps as well as dc cable must be able to handle the same amount of current..

that's why everything in my truck is double strapped with braided and wire ground straps. the battery below that my radio is hooked to is double strapped. same as the battery my amp runs off. the amp inside my trk. is double strapped and the big kinetik battery in my truck is strapped with a 4ga.wire will add the braided strap to the inside battery probably today

Sort of wrong, there is a power difference between the two and the rf amperage will always be less.
If you are drawing 200 amps, having a 200 amp rf current is impossible.
