Thanks to some trashy, dirt bag drivers, especially the one that got caught washing his private parts in the restroom sink, the break room, vending machines and bathrooms are off limits to all drivers. They don't care if you have been sitting there all day.
I'm sure this is both an OSHA violation and Americans With Disabilities Act violation. Just wait when a diabetic that knows the law has a low blood sugar episode and can't get into the break room to get something to eat. I have already talked to lawyers about this and if this happens, one call will start the ball rolling for a federal discrimination lawsuit.

If you pursue this matter further, and if you find "tip lines" at various states, please post here so we can all combine resources and work to keep these sorts of problem shippers/receivers in check.

But the thing is, these facilities are not available to the "general public" so I'm not sure how much of a leg you'll have to stand on regarding such matters. It can be argued that facilities frequented by hundreds of different truck drivers each week are "general public accessible", I suppose.

If these companies are fed up with dealing with "OTR outside carrier trashy truck drivers" then they need to haul 100% of their own product with their own fleet and drivers, or get out of a business that relies on outside carriers and truckers. Yes, a few give the entire industry a bad reputation but it is what it is.

The law says that if you are on the property doing business under contract, they can't deny you access to the bathrooms or the vending machines. I have already researched this with my lawyer.

Good deal. Now when the Federal Marshals are at a receivers warehouse investigating illegal lumping policies and practices, they can also check to make sure the company is following Federal laws on facilities available to drivers. Can't wait for the changes.

Since you have already done the research, maybe you can provide a link to the law? Or was the research conducted at the truckstop counter?

See that is why I like my heavy haul work. Never have I been refused a bathroom. Heck some places even have showers. Just bring your own towel and clean up your mess if you make one
