Brenntag would be a good gig. Great bennies from what I hear. I haul chemicals up in the PNW and their drivers out here seem happy. Slower pace on chemical to, more relaxed, compared to fuel IMO.
Superior would be nice because you can pretty much hit the ground running.
The DEF position, depending on if it's actually a more regional kind of gig, would be hands down the most gravy. Non hazmat and it's pretty hard to get lost going to a delivery.

People leaving for greener pastures is pretty common. Why not just call the terminal manager yourself. Even if he is the one who told you last time was your last chance he still might let you come back. Just explain the local job desire.
Also have you looked at Carpenter. I think that's the name. They had a bunch of tractors in Winder a couple of years agoDeagonKennels Thanks this. -
I think I asked about this company before but can't remember for sure. Anyone know anything about Dillon Transport? I saw a tanker truck the other day I thought was Dillon but I think it said Thompson on it and it was written in the same font as Dillon and the tractor was yellow like Dillon. Driver was pulling and asphalt tanker. Anyone ever heard of Thompson and where are they located?
Just keeping my options open. Still going to call Superior next week. -
Never mind on Dillon. Reviews look horrible.

Do you know if they are any good?

I have no clue, they have nice equipment and I see them all over the southeast. They have one trick pulling what looks like a fuel tank, not sure what they are hailing with it. They have some dump trucks, a few flats glair precast concrete, bulk tanks, dumps, and a low boy. Sometime I have seen there trucks hauling what looks like a portable asphalt plant

Well here is the deal. Taking a regional tanker position with Groendyke. Out 2-3 days then back in. May run a local load once or twice a week. Since I have tanker experience I will start out at .52cpm loaded and .46cpm empty. Benefits are decent. Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, 401k, quarterly safety bonuses, paid major holidays, etc.
Took my road test yesterday. It was cake. Go renew my physical for the third time this year next week and do pee test. Scheduled to start on October 31st. This may just be what I am looking for, fingers crossed.59EX, skinnytrucker, Weeble Kneeble and 2 others Thank this. -
Good luck, brother. Hope this is the one. And for what it's worth, I've never heard a bad word about Groendyke.rubberducky68 Thanks this.
