You as a professional driver should have let off the throttle and let the steering wheel holder pass. Holding up traffic is dangerous, both parties are at fault for this.

I dislike going into a truck stop to eat a quiet meal and having two truck drivers arguing over things like politics, environmental policies, and Mexicans...

GO TO YOUR TRUCKS AND ARGUE ON THE CB I CAN TURN OFF TYVM -_-

I just want to eat in peace :biggrin_25510:

The idea of meeting up at a place like a truck stop is to be social. Part of being social is to talk about things. If you want to be anti-social then go eat alone in your truck, no one will bother you there if your parked legal.

No social is one thing, full on arguing loud enough to attract EVERYONE in the place's attention is not.

You are kinda a negative person huh?

Don't feel bad. I agree. Let me eat in peace. I don't bother you, then I appreciate the same.

If my phone rings, I get up and go outside. I don't like to hear phone calls as well.

Well whodathunkit? There's my pet peeve......:biggrin_25510: You can see me travelling 64 MPH....you know that you top out at 64.1 MPH....you jump your bonehead out in the hammer lane and it's my duty as a professional to slow down and let you in, so that I can stare at your back doors the rest of the day?? Don't hold your breath, bubba.

Thank you. I knew there was at least one other person that did this. In fact, if I'm talking to someone else I probably won't even answer the phone. I might look at it to see if I need to answer it if I'm expecting an important call. But, for the most part, I'll answer if it's convenient for me and unobtrusive.

I as well check the caller id and make the decision. I always try to keep an eye on my food as well. I have had waitresses try to remove my plate.

Just by this statement, you are just a wheel holder. Please look up what a professional is.

If it gets that bad, then I understand..............................

As for being negative, no, I'm just a realist.

I could run off a whole list but I'll stick to the most egregious, stupid one.

The most serious pet peeve is seeing a supertrucker follow a small car about a foot off the bumper. It's so dangerous and so unnecessary. Anyone who does that is negligent and nowhere near a professional.

I would love to see police ticket heavily for this.
