I have a 95t2 that has some problems. Unfortunately I bought it from RadioHacktive Radios. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. It is in my pickup and is rarely even turned on. I don't drive on rough roads. About a year after I got it the light on the power meter went out. Awhile back, the frequency display went out. Today I noticed that the cooling fan was on even though the power knob on the panel was off. I didn't know this is possible. I hadn't even had the radio on in ages. I had to unplug it. I thought something seemed to be running my batteries down. I've been thinking about sending it to a shop for repair, maybe Clay's since Sparky's is no more. I don't know if it's worth it, getting it fixed and unhacked, but I hate to junk a $400 radio. Sometimes you're better off just getting a new radio.

Any good CB shops where you live? It would be worth it to me to get it working properly unless the repair bill is a much as the radio is worth. IMO Clays is really good at repairs and tunes, Robert there did a good alignment on a Galaxy 99v2 of mine, give them a call and see what they think.

Thanks. We don't have a CB shop here. We don't even have a Truck stop. All we have is some worthless place called the Flying J. Yea, that's a nice radio and no longer made. I wish I just gotten it stock, but the guy talked my into some hack job. I wouldn't be looking at as big of repair bill. I'll probably call Clay's. I just have to wait to fix it because I was laid off from my oilfield job. I'll let you know what I hear. That deal with the fan being on when the radio is off is really weird.

Here is a sample of Marks work.

Clay doesn't seem to be able to produce work in this league.

The fan coming on could be normal even with the radio off. I have a Ranger and a Connex in my truck. IF it gets too hot in the truck during the summer the fans will come on by themselves even with them turned off. AND neither one of them have been "hacked"
