    I know your feeling brothe. I didn't realize just how much I was missing until I messed up my shoulder on the landing gear and was in therapy for 5 months. That's when it hit me what I was missing with my kids and time with my sick wife. As soon as therapy was over I walked in and quit and haven't looked back. Of course I am keeping my CDL and my endorsements.

    I have no kids, Trooper, but I do have a #### good woman and enough sense to get out of OTR before I go berserk.
    I have a bunch of leads and a few inlets local to Portland but I'd like to hear what @Chinatown has to suggest and I've also been curious about what @HalpinUout has to say about bailing without much notice.

    From a mega just do it so you don't get shorted a last paycheck etc. I made it 2 years and yes that is my wife in my profile pic not my girlfriend lol

    Find a new job and quit; no need for a notice as long as you turn the truck in properly.
    If you have hazmat endorsement check Clean Harbors. Sometimes they hire you without hazmat endorsement, but you have to apply and get it within a certain time frame.
    FedEx Freight
    New Penn - line haul is big in Northeast.
    Central Transport - line haul
    Northeast Freightways

    With winter here, should be lots of propane and heating oil companies hiring.
    Check temp. services which can lead to full time jobs. (HW Staffing Solutions is one)
    R.C. Moore is a tanker outfit with local runs and minimum weekly pay of $900.00 Can earn more with overtime pay.

    I have the hazmat pre-card. Haven't been finger printed and cleared yet. Is there an expiration on that? I have all other endorsements.

    I've considered NEMF (want a year, or else there's 5 weeks additional training - which I don't feel I need, and which I'm not going to pay for), Central Transport, Old Dominion, Hartt (year, but flexible?) New Penn, Olympia Sports, JP Noonan, RC Moore, Portland Air Freight, Hutchins, Krisway, Shaws/Osco, Hannaford and lesser agents like Ryder and Penske.

    I'd drive a Class B beer truck and be happier at this point I think... I have a list of them also.

    Try Button transport they can get you home weekly I think and possibly everyday

    Clean Harbors is a premium job in most states, but don't know how they pay in your area.
    Old Dominion doesn't require any experience if you're a cdl school grad. They hired 16 drivers out of one cdl school class in PA for line haul.

    Better yet, move to Las Vegas; plenty of local driving jobs there and fine weather. Mountain Valley Express is one of them for line haul. Old Dominion is another.
