The DUI can change things for you and limit you, so if TransAm will take you go for it. I've met a couple of their guys and they seem happy, have nothing bad to say and their trucks are nice but don't go L/O! If in a couple years Finance your own truck and if the deal is right you can make a crapload of money......IF the deal is right! I'm strongly considering that path myself after talking to many local O/O's around my area and everyone has said the same thing buy a good, reliable but OLDER lower payment truck! (Older meaning 7-10 yrs) they all said the same thing, that is the tipping point of making a tone and spending a ton. But in my region their lots of ports, construction and lots of work for regional O/O's. If I was OTR I may or may not want a possibly10yr old truck. Every situation is different but in any case I've looked into quite a few L/O deals and never saw one that was a good deal for the driver. Lots of people will say how much they make, but conveniently leave out how much they spent! Math doesn't lie.
Starting pay for OTR??
