Range splitter question

    I just went thru this with one of my trucks. My driver bought a fancy chrome knob for the shifter. I re@re it on the original eaton 18 speed knob.

    Long story short, those chrome knobs are ####.
    Put a oem eaton knob back on and your problems will disappear.

    Ha gutted...love my chrome knob lol. Going to give it a grease and one go at it working ok otherwise will take your advice.

    Had same issue kinda with my 15 speed. New knob from Fleetpride. Twice both leaked air after a couple weeks using range selector.
    Put the official Eaton knob on, no problems. They all were stamped made in Mexico.

    Seems like a common theme appearing here...well I've taken it art abd greased it as suggested earlier. Will see how long it lasts and then it's probably tine to resort to an original eaton fuller lol. Thanks
