Well I ran the solo board for the first time and as a rookie on this board, I was able to produce one week from Monday-Saturday @ $4443.47.
Had a mix of decent and cheap loads. I don't use alerts, this was all just picking from scraps. Started in PA and had to DH 220 miles for the first load. And one more long DH of 130 miles to get a good load. The rest were close.
I am absolutely pee'd that the team board is barely 1/10 of what you guys have. I can't figure out why virtually the same solo loads pay more than team expedited. I get $1.14 and you guys get $1.40+. I saw several loads go west for way more than what the team board gets. Sad.
I had a hard time going back, and may just go solo like I've been wanting to. -
Not saying it's a good idea but the math works. It's the classic volume discount.
M miles x R rate - E expenses = N net
If R drops, then you can increase M to get to the same total profit. Catch is E goes up as well, and profit margin goes down. It works really well in applications where scalability is simple and easy. For one truck operations it's not ideal.TnRex Thanks this. -
Ya, it's simple math just like the tests we use to get in school

Did you actually finish the week at that or just booked the week?
If you ran it congrats.
If you booked it and waiting to run it good luck.redoctober83 Thanks this. -
No I ran it. I would've done better if I could've snagged a couple of awesome loads that were unconfirmed in my favs.
And there were a few awesome loads the first day but I was studying the board and didn't want to get sucked into a dead area and missed them.
Didn't take long to know which areas to stay away from.
You guys complain about Florida, but those loads disappeared fast too lol. I was careful not to get lured into New England, just booked scraps every couple of days.TennMan Thanks this. -
1/10 lol teams have more like 1/100Cledus Snow Thanks this.

The way the loads looking I'm happy with 3000-3500 gross and healthy hometime..4000 and up with these loads I can't imagine what u did to get that lol
Cledus Snow Thanks this. -
Those Florida loads will always move non stop for nothing. There are tons and tons of truckers with their own trucks who moved down to Florida to retire and will run their trucks into the ground and just walk away. They do an occasional run here and there and then want to go home at any cost.
