I am asking the mods to move this thread to the garage area where owners of Volvo's can give you the answers you need.

The area you posted in "Questions To Truckers From the Public" is where non trucker folk may ask about stuff we take for granted like "what is the meaning of keeping the dirty side down" or "why must you idle and disturb the neighborhood" or other similar questions.

Broken or cracked wire maybe, or a bad ground. See if you have power coming to the tailight (do you have a test light, if not get one, they are an essential tool for anyone who drives a truck, imo.) Then you will know which direction your problem lies, no power, you have to search backwards, if you have power and the bulb is good then you look downstream for maybe a bad ground. Note, bulbs can sometimes look good to the eye, but are broken inside.

    Thanks
Power not coming to tailight on left side (use tester).
More and more I am thinking about broken wire.
    Thanks again.

OK. Now comes the fun (not) part. Unless you can see a connector close to the tail lights (take it apart and check there for power). Otherwise go up front and start from there. You have to find somewhere that it works. Then work your way back. Otherwise you are working blind and going in circles. Good luck.

Looks like all your turns will have to be to the right.... There's a thread on that here @Thull.
