That 66.5 ohm reading..WTF is it..Is that supposed to be impedence? Oh and ifs a tad high and resistence as well and resonce is a lil off,you can squeeze some better #'s from your set up
-
Rabbi..thats a negitive 8.9 not a positive 8.9
-
Not good either way actually
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
X doesn't cross the 0 line and go positive until 36.985 mhz.
-
But then SWR is through the roof at 36.985... 11.8
-
Well depending on the freq you wanna tune for resonce you need to adjust your whip to make messary change
-
Impedence should be as close to 50 ohms as possible..The resistance should also be 50ohms and the x should be 0 at choosen freq..
-
Wrong ... sort of.
You won't see 50 ohms resistance or should see it.
The x is not really accurate measurement, because to complete the antenna thing, you have to take in account three components of the system, Xr Xc and X L.
I know I'm not explaining it well, stupid cold, but if your X<0 then you have inductive reactance, X>0 you have capacitive reactance and if X=0 you have then the impeadence is resistive.rabbiporkchop and lilillill Thank this. -
Z is impedance, which, as I understand it, is the sum of all resistance to current flow... reactance, resistance, etc.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.
