Like I said when Walmart is going to roll out the cameras is going to be top secret until they decide to tell everybody nobody knows except for those guys up there in Bentonville who make the decisions not the local people at the local said you guys nobody

 

Our GTM just sent a Qualcomm message stating that him and our safety guy just got off a conference call with Bentonville and other GTM's . And I guess it is top secret until the first meeting Monday morning at 800.

You're ruining the thought that Walmart is the perfect utopia. Our safety has brought up that cameras are on the horizon whenever he comes back from meetings in Arkansas. This place is just covering their arse in every way possible especially since they're unable to attract the same caliber of driver that they use to be able to bring in these days.

I didn't say when or what type is coming but apparently they are. I will be glad to update you Monday after the meeting.

I can only say our GTM is a great guy and don't feed us ####. His message specifically said depart group meetings to discuss truck cameras

The meeting we had with our regional safety and Regional Transportation manager, they told us that there would be a pilot program starting soon. But they still did not know who the camera manufacturer going to be and if they were going to be inside and outside shooting or not. So maybe he's at a dc's that are going to be involved in the pilot program.

 

I don't have any issue with what you're saying as I've heard it from those higher up in the company before. Simmer down. It'll be the way of trucking for most carriers someday.
