Rates crashing going into the holiday season. Yikes. I have mixed feelings about it. It's definitely going to thin the herd of trucks running around out there and that's not a bad thing. The strong will survive I guess.

1st quarter of 2017 may be worse than 2008 was, if what we are seeing is any indication.

I have been toying with the same thoughts. Even just a move to a Landstar. Not because I think I can do better but to learn another aspect of the business like how to work with brokers.
I thought the recession had already started in this industry but I think you may be right. Signs are pointing the worst is yet to come. Thinking I am going to stay put for awhile anyway.

Learning how to talk with brokers is easy. Learning what lanes pay is the hardest part. You don't want to over or under price yourself.
