Just FWIW, I'm running a 2015 Cascadia with integrated antenna and original factory coax/hardware. Had a guy check the SWR and it measured 1.5. Not good, but better then I expected.

For me, it's not worth the expense and hassle of adding a custom antenna just to get more range that I really don't use or need.

It's kind of hard to use what you don't have,
But it's lots of fun experiencing something that defies most people's logic or experience

Thats strange I have a 2016 Crapcadia with integrated antenna and my swr read 3.0+, guess each truck is different, but even it was a 1.0 range is still only a couple of miles if lucky.
