Not really. Look at the speedometer and tach.

I wouldn't worry about it though. I don't see a truck number or anything in the pics, so now way to prove who it is, and certainly nobody's getting any info out of me.

Truck could be parked and his foot on the fuel, who knows. The needle could be stuck who knows. The taking pictures while driving police might be trolling this site for the big bust, who knows.

Sudden veer to the left. My bet is on a drivers side steer tire blowout and the driver was up against the governor with no ability to accelerate to get it under control. Worse yet he hit the brakes instead of the accelerator.

This may go to the question if trucks are governed and you have no way to increase the speed, what then happens. Perhaps they will be able to hold the truck company responsible because of it. Now the ATA has dropped the idea of speed limiters for whatever reason.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

I bet 99.7% of drivers not running against the governor, let off the fuel and brake when a steer tire blows.
If I heard a strange noise and the truck shifted, in that millisecond I would never ever think to go faster.

Yeah, but our government likes that sort of thing. If you don't, your a racist or a bigot.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that is a Mexican tractor or a bright yellow Penske rental pulling a 53 ft. rental trailer with the tandems slid all the way to the front. What could go wrong?

I would guess the driver fell asleep.

It wasn't a Mexican tractor I believe it was a Penske I passed next to the accident
