like I said before all the major amp builders say ground everything and then do some more grounding.I relate that to these trks. weather your running a lot of power or not ...

 

I have one in the truck and one in my tool box..

missing the point it's metal to metal that's being grounded..... ???

 

The object is to create an RF ground from the skin of the metal door to the metal of the cab to help bond all the parts together to create a larger counterpoise..

 

It doesn't matter you want to create a larger Mass that's all bonded together unless of course you choose to take the easy way out like Neverready did.

 

I prefer the quick easy way myself.
Sounds like Ridgelines method was quite effective although very labor-intensive and time-consuming.
