Hello, i have a '07 volvo with eaton ultrashift 10sp, few days ago driving uphill with light load @65mph service light on shifter started to flash and a display on cluster started to blink F. At that point for a second engine lost a power and went back to normal again. When i stopped and pulled out code it was MID 130 PID 59 FMI 7 or Shifter finger gear position , computer recorded this 5 times. Next day flat road @70mph, flashing both lights and nothing, but when was slowing down and tranny was making reduction to 9th i got a slam/hit as tranny was trying to put 9th too fast for a truck speed, few seconds - back to normal. Made to home already with no issues. Does anyone any ideas what is that could be?

Well, had that replaced two years ago and now again? That's crazy, parts nowadays not reliable at all?
-
Long time problematic part of the Eaton transmission..
-
Well the problem is code went to inactive and wont came up again. What i currently did - bought a new one to keep with me and took out current one to inspect. As code was referring to mechanical failure - nothing found...

you wont see anything mechanicaly good chance the position sensors acting up or maybe a motor got stuck for a little bit better change it and avoid the costly repair on the road.

if you don't drain your air tanks every day you can get water into the shifter
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
this would be true for i shift and zf not eaton being that shifter is electrical
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
Should I see water coming out?
I haven't been able to get any in my new truck -
