Quality Transport is looking for two good drivers to join our team. We currently run Peterbilt tractors (2015- 579, 2014-567) and Cottrell high mount car haulers (7 car, 8 car). Our equipment is in great shape and very well maintained.
Would prefer drivers that have experience hauling cars, but would consider training the right person. Qualified individuals would need to have at least two years of driving experience with a CDL-A (due to Insurance requirements) be able to climb, bend, squat, squeeze through small places, work in all types of weather, have winter driving skills, clean driving record, Non smoker (Vaping okay) good work ethic and time management skills. Home time negotiable depending on your location, but the ideal candidate would be able to stay out four weeks, home one week.
We run everywhere, so location is not a huge deal, you take the truck home with you. Prefer SE, SW or MW. We offer door to door, auction to dealer, dealer to auction etc.
Pays 20-30% based on experience. ($4-6000/month generally)
Would also consider an O/O to pull our trailers. (give me a call)

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Looking for two dependable drivers for hauling cars.

Kind of low for a car hauling IMHO
Night_driver and canadianredneck Thank this. -

Not sure why that would be low. The percentage is based on what everyone is doing right now including the larger companies, and those I have met since we started hauling cars. The dollars to the driver per month are real world numbers based on the rates for this time of year (which are down quite a bit). Obviously, as rates go back up, the opportunity for the driver to make more money is always achievable.
We like to be straight and up front with our drivers, Is there better money out there? Maybe, but in our experience a lot of companies will TELL you that you will earn 100k per year hauling cars, and that would be nice, but most never actually see what is promised. I like to give the facts, and when you end up exceeding your own expectations, we are both happy.windsmith, BigGP and Already There Thank this. -
Dale and DT, do you have experience in the car hauling business, enough to know of something better? That's a sincere question as 30% is on the very high end and that's what they're offering.
I've been a driver for Quality for four years now. The business has always been consistent and the company has always given me what I needed and then some.

No my only experience is with a small trailer strapping 1 car and going to the dragstrip, now if 30% is top shelf pay then 4-6K a month means the rates are in the crapper which means the last thing you need is another guy entering that segment with low expectations also my opinion is based on knowing a guy at church that does those kind of numbers with a 3 car trailer and a pickup and is home almost nightly and every weekend please do not take offense this is just the opinion of an old guy your mileage may vary
Night_driver Thanks this. -
low low low, from a guy hauling cars, hope people understand what you are asking vs, what you pay. make it 5 weeks pay on what you offer for 4 weeks non stop out. wow, low ball carriers pay better, get you home more often, less work. WOW, hope y'all really look into his rates. AND based outta CO. snow and slow, snow and slow.

I guess I am missing something here, I thought this thread was for me to post a job position that I have available. NOT a place for you to make remarks about our business and whether or not our rates are good enough.
But just to answer your feedback... You are telling me that cut rate carriers are paying their drivers $6000 per month? really? Did you read my post at all? You mention that we are based in CO "snow and slow" did you see where we run all 48? We are hardly ever in CO.
Bottom line is this, read the post, if its not for you then move on, if you have questions about something give me a call. Please don't fill this thread with how you don't agree with our business practices, and please don't tell me that we are worse than a cut rate carrier, when our drivers consistently make more money than most people they meet out on the road doing the same exact thing.United Expedited Thanks this. -
is tn a good area for you nashville area?

Your numbers are a joke. Based on 30% being $6,000/mo that would equal $20,000 gross. Then you say on the road 4 weeks and 1 week home so 24 days. $20K in 24 days? I can gross more with a reefer, and lower expenses. I don't know why would anyone do car-hauling if you can make more with a van or reefer.
I know someone who is pulling a van and makes $1500-2000/week working 5-6 days a week.
I'm not even talking about your starting pay of $4,000/mo.
