Ok just st left depart meeting here is what we where told.
They will be rolling out a camera test program in February. It will be one DC in the western region and one in the east.

Will be two different manufacturers, one tested in each region. Both will have driver facing,forward facing and audio.
Will constantly record as long as the key is on. Will only upload or save during a critical event. 10 seconds prior and after.
Walmart will have access to the 3rd parties network to view recordings .

Anyone have thoughts on why the listing for openings at Pageland,SC was only up and taking apps for less than a week?

 

Soon as they receive the number of apps they wanted they close it.

 

Hard to do that when you're forced to sit around for 3 hours every day waiting on loads for free at your home DC. Thought we're getting into the busy season?

 

So I got the call today for the first time since I started applying. It's for the Midway, Tennessee DC which isn't my top choice (live two miles from Shelby, NC DC) but would get my foot in the door. Couple questions
A. Anyone here work out of Midway? Good DC to work out of? Would I stay busy being bottom man? What kind of programs do they run?
B. Did the vacation policy change to what was discussed earlier in the thread? Being bottom person would I be able to take vacation during the times when my kids are out of school?

 

Guess I have been fortunate been rolling steady ! Now vacation until the 26th camping and relaxing .

 

Wait time comes and goes. Unfortunately, in our region (7), when you hear management talking about being busy, count on wait time. Just run your ETDs tight and do what you can.

 

Run it tight, but when you show up and see guys tell you they've been there hours before you sure doesn't help. Can't remember the time I haven't seen the ROC give us a daily OBC message without saying there'll be wait time.
