No catch just a company that respects its drivers, and unlike the other response I am sure you meant cpm. They are good outfit, I went to them for school but couldnt stay with them at the time. Flatbedders usually make a little more anyway, due to the other crap you have to put up with.

i am approved by them they are just waiting for me to finish school, they called me about 2 weeks ago and asked me if i wanted to start the following week, I told them I would love to but i am still in school and dont have my cdl yet.

Colts Patience and persistence comes into play when dealing with recruiters. dont sit back and wait for them to call you you should call them if its been a few days since you have heard something call them back and find out whats going on.

 

I would like to hear from any current drivers for them, as i am interested in the miles that are available. I am looking at applying for the specialized division they have as it looks to run pretty much all 48 states, whereas the flatbed division is more regional.

Have spent 2 months looking and comparing trucking companies, and there are so many bad ones out there for people just getting back out again like myself. Thought Roehl looked good and then started reading this past week about their drivers getting shorted miles big time... especially the experienced ones, like the company was wanting to force them out... they lost my respect there. I drove for Central Reefer 4 years ago and know what a nightmare that was... not repeating that mistake. Only 2 companies hiring in my area (Phx. AZ) with no recent exp. and that is Swift and Crete. Crete seems to have a good rep also, but the pay is much lower than Mavarick, and I like the idea of running in a specialized division, smaller company, and want to move to the east coast anyway, so this could work out well. Have been looking at union jobs also, but they are not very plentiful now, except in the Chicago area I am told. I'm more a Blue Ridge Mt. kinda guy myself... not big city.

If there is anyone who has information on the specialized division... type of stuff they haul with that (I know it is more OTR than flatbed which I like), as well as miles one can expect... I thank you for any input and feedback.

Maverick highers anyone these days, their turnover rate is about 75%, I know because I worked for them until this week. As far as specialized, I've been seeing ALOT of the special div guys having to get regular loads. Mav's miles have dropped, most people I've talked to are getting 15-16 hundred a week, unless you get stuck out for the weekend which happens to alot of drivers here lately. Maverick used to boast of a 97% at home on the weekends, but they had to take their signs down cause I think now it's below 90% in just a few months.
