Bump ... thread's gone quiet for a while. My quarter came in at 38,600 miles. Better then my gut instincts felt [based on a few off weeks earlier in the quarter], but I haven't run my numbers in a while, so maybe. Unsure if I missed an entry or what happened but I'll take it.

Just ran through the shop for the first time in a few months. Got a lot of little things done, and a whole new set of Michelins to replace my originals that all had 290k miles. I can't say enough good things about the shop people, top to bottom. They did a number of routine maintenance things on the engine and DPF systems, and cleaned out filters and back of fridge and other such stuff. It was a busy Monday and they still got me out by 14:00. Had time to do my online safety course I had forgotten about, take my personal vehicle into town, wash it, winterize the fuel system again, do some shopping and get some good casino winnings fedex'd back to my hometown bank.

Just came off home time last Monday, now burnt out my 70 here in southern Wisconsin 8 days later, presently headed out to Jersey. Did an extensive interior fall cleaning ("mopped" the floors and beat out the carpets good) in some superb weather in Wisconsin. Have to do some early morning humping next few days.

I might have to go through the shop myself, idk why the cruise doesn't work half the time... Like it goes on but it doesn't let me set it on.. so the engine break doesn't work as well... I have a 14.. am I doing something wrong? How can k get it to stop doing that? It's so annoying and unsafe to be going down mountains without a Jake....

Make sure you've "touched the brake" at some point since starting the engine before trying to engage the cruise. Also, the cruise will not work if there is an issue with the forward radar not working or calibrating properly at startup. What does the Merritor Wabco display indicate after startup? Does it ever beep as you get closer to other vehicles? If it does, then it seems to be working okay.

When you've pressed (or cycled) the "ENG BRK" button on the steering wheel, does the yellow light come on/off at the brake stage selector switch? Is it on "HI" (top pressed forward)? The engine brake should not be tied to the cruise control and should work independent of the cruise control. I would definitely get that looked at ASAP or call the shop and see if they've seen this before ... maybe a fuse.

If you have the on guard collision avoidance system radar on the truck if your cruise stops working hit the cruise on off switch three times in Rapid succession then your cruise control work even if your radar on guard is not working

That's some good info that I was not aware of. Hated it when the radar (and cruise) would shut down due to snow accumulation or hail or heavy rain, then I'd wait until I stopped and restarted to get the cruise option back.

"Greed"? Then what's the word for drivers who abandon loads and equipment. What's the word for drivers who leave a truck interior completely trashed, and effectively steal 200 gallons of fuel before they figure it out and turn off the card?

The escrow is a bit steep but it's a huge part of trying to protect what is yours and to keep others respectable and from doing stupid and/or criminal crap.

How do you explain the fact that it's a non-interest bearing account?
$700 x 270 (approx.) drivers = $18,900. In addition, that money is not
immediately (they give themselves up to 30 days to refund driver)
returned to the driver upon their departure from Holland.
