I signed a paper yesterday from my company stating that we are not required to take our mandatory MPs. There was a lawsuit between the state and another company that went through and mow we are not forced to take MPs anymore. Has anyone heard anything about this? It was all new to me yesterday.

I haven't heard anything about it. But it seems like you guys are going to take the brunt of that double edged sword.

I can see it now...You don't have time to stop..get it done now or your fired.

Would I be correct in assuming that this is a local/intra-state rule?

Yes...but if I remember correctly. Intra-State CA drivers are/were required to take them. As a matter of law.

Which appears to have been overturned, based on the original posters statement.

I'll look into it more but It may be the we are under ag. regulations. I'm happy about it cause I'm in the truck for 1 less hour a day. And if I wanna stop there still ok with that.

    my bad read post wrong...

Law says 10 minutes for every hour worked...so it's not an hour. Unless you've been on for 6.
