Power through it buddy.... Trucks break, dispatchers are ########, backing will be hard. I spent 20min trying to setup and back an easy 45 in a company yard Monday night, normally would take me 1 try. Some days backing is just horrible, and I've been driving for over a decade lol.

Have you talked to the top person at the school?
Someone at the school isn't doing their job if they let you sit for 2 weeks because a truck is broken.
Did you pay for the school out of your own money?

    TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this.

Let me make sure I am reading this right. You are going to a school and your instructor and you are always having arguments? What in the hell are you arguing about? Also you are going to a school that lets an instructor just sit because of a broke down truck? Did I get all of that right?

Exrayman won't say who what when or where, but I remember giving a yard dog driver $10 just to let me drop my trailer and let him just put it in that door. I don't think I could have did it that day to save my life.

I did the yard dog thing part time during waits between long haul runs and never charged a driver to put a trailer in the door. Sometimes it was just too congested for a sleeper tractor to do it, so I'd do it for them with the yard dog. It's pretty low down to charge someone for something that doesn't cost you any money; just a couple minutes of your time to help another driver.

I was not charged. I just asked the guy to help me out and stuck the bill in his hands. To this day I consider that money well spent.

In all honesty I was at the end of a long and hard winter driving stint. I was tired and all of my tractor's glass was covered with salt. After I parked my truck (thankfully the people there let drivers park and take a 10) the guy pulled my now emply out and knocked on my door waking me up and I got back under the trailer walked to the traffic office and got my bills and took a very long nap. That next morning I got my windex out and cleaned all of my glass.

Ask for a tuition refund because you can't afford to sit around for weeks while they try to fix a truck. Apply to a trucking company school.
