So I had posted a 9 vehicle, 600 mile load for one of my customers the other day and I had started them out at .50/mi per unit as always, and the first company to call me was United Road. I was about to dispatch them when it hit me. Why in the **** would I give them a decent paying load when they have .30/mi garbage up everywhere you look? So I respectfully tell the guy that I just don't feel right dispatching them this load and tell him why, well he completely misses the point, tells me that they are one of the biggest companies out there and that the vehicles will be well taken care of. I said that I am sure they would be, but the point is that I am not going to give them a decent paying load when they have garbage posted up everywhere else. So if they think the going rate is .30/mi I will be happy to dispatch it to them for that. He scoffed and said that there's no way they could haul it for that cheap! Well now I'm laughing out loud and I said that is my best offer take it or leave it and tells me to have a nice day and hangs up. I dispatched it to a one truck owner op from Texas an hour later.
Just wanted to share that. I realize that I am doing absolutely nothing to change anything but it did feel good to be on the other side of the table for once lol
Feeling pretty good about myself

It's a dick move, even if it is URS.
You posted at rate X. It's rate X for all or don't post it.
You wouldn't want it done to you.canadianredneck Thanks this. -
Great job terry. We needed over 250 moved quickly 2 weeks ago. 75 miles. I paid $100.00 per unit. Paid everyone within 4 days. On my Facebook group people are always complaining about the rates. Had some great people show up and was questioned by may as to why they paid so much. It seems like the mentality of the industry is to accept cheap freight now.

Guy tried that with me yesterday. Had a load posted for .51cpm, then when I call asks if I could do it for .37cpm.
All I said was a simple "no".passingthru69 and Terry270 Thank this.
