9 years chemical tankers, 1 year flatbed, 6 months van. I need to stay local, home almost every night, home on the weekends. I am a tanker driver, I have hauled fuel, propane, and various chemicals. I have a few local companies that I am looking at right now with scheduled road tests, but until you get the welcome aboard its not something that you can count on so any direction that you could offer would be appreciated.

I find it hard to imagine only making 30K per year in this day and age in the trucking business. I would assume you are talking gross. You could do better than that with $3000 dollars worth of lawn equipment cutting just 10 yards a week.
spyder7723, superflow, 1MoreMile and 1 other person Thank this. -
I think that some new truckers that want to move on from being OTR may stay with the company a little longer just to get enough experience to find a better local job. Dillon has a 50% turn over ratio within the first 90 days. Imagine that, lie to people and they quit!

By all means, my good man, enlighten me. What's a legitimate reason to ask this question beyond "I have something in my hair that would cause me to fail a follicle test?"
spyder7723 Thanks this. -
