Stevens Transport Aviary . . cont'

I am still here, but don't get online as much. Still with Stevens running Texas Regional racking in the cash.

 

How does local pay in Dallas area??

Texas Regional runs several surrounding states and you get 2 days off every 2 weeks or so. Pay is scaled depending on mileage from 38cpm to 42.5cpm plus short haul of $50 if less than 150miles and $75 if less than 100 miles I believe. Plus any detention and layover due. I do well but not all do I guess. I run but don't kill myself and make about a grand a week most weeks. Nothing to write home about but it is better than I made otr. I could go to another company but I like the equipment and people at Stevens. Yes the people, I try not to make waves and I am treated fairly.

 

I'm Otr and pull 1100-1700 with the occasional 900 here I do train but solo I was doing 800-1300 I don't understand why people are doing so bad. I am aliance and skip my Dm most of the time and get with the planners and shippers and receivers I do utilize repowers frequently. Oh well mystery to me still. I do live in the dfw area and would love to be home more

 

Repowers not because I'm late most of the time I'm 12-24+ hrs ahead

 

Well training would increase my pay too but I really like my freedom and running Alliance you should be able to make more if you are good. I agree with you about others, I don't understand why people can't make money. It is about what you know and not always going with the flow.
