I am a tanker driver which means my truck has a pump and compressor mounted to the frame behind the sleeper. I had a truck that was a used J.B unit that had a weed burner exhaust. For me, it meant that I had to breath in a lot of exhaust everytime I used either. It sucked, especially when I had to use the pump. Also, it could represent a fire hazard since usually you pump off flammables since they can't be aired off except with nitrogen.

When using a pump or compressor you have to run the RPM's up which of course makes more exhaust.

This wouldn't be a problem for a van truck but for tankers, weed burner is a terrible choice.

It is illegal to have the exhaust exit the system below the cab/bunk. You will be put OOS for this violation.
You may mean below the horizontal grade of the cab/sleeper.
I don't think there is much difference between the 2 stack system and the weed burner I now have.
My cab is cooler without both stacks next to my cab doors and quieter when I drive with the window open.
I drove other trucks with under frame exhaust and had no problems with ice/snow or any other circumstances.
I just made sure the exhaust pipe went farther back then most you see. This I hope prevents the exhaust from flowing into my cab or anyone else's.

Another thing to think about is that slippery ice patch that forms under a truck with a weed burner exhaust when it runs stationary in winter. One hell of a way to break bones or your face if you aren't aware of it.

Yes that is why I ended mine with straight pipe under and between the rear axles, off center, I didn't mount them under my pumpkins.
Yes slippery ice is a hazard. Wonder if a driver could be liable if someone fell because of this.

And I am willing to try anything once.

ABS saved our hides twice. and auto was good until it bricks and power steering is for the wussies.

I'll die with old iron and a manual in the hand.

I run a high mount parking lot, and you'll see very few parking lots with behind the cab stacks, because we need every inch of space for overhang in the front. I've run so close to the back of the cab that I'd take off a stack if there was one.

You know the ones with the oversized Stacks just want to make a lot of noise morning noon and night playing with Jake brakes and running it at night when people are trying to sleep

So you have Actually passed out many times on the catwalk because of exhaust fumes???

Dang, it's a good thing you never ran any older trucks of the 70s or 80s....you would have died instantly from an old big cam or 2 stroke Detroit.
