ybr69...I'm not sure about the CinCity...but best thing to do is head on down to the main mail hub (this is where the mail from all the local post offices are collected). All the mail is pulled by contractors so take a look at the trailers and daycabs of guys hauling mail out of there. Or try calling the hub and they should give you a list of all the contractors who run out of the Cinci hub. Then call each one up and see if they need drivers.

Some of the ones I see in Ohio are:
Eagle Express Lines
URSA
Trojan Horse
Mail Contractors of America (MCA)
Kutchenrither

mail contractors is where it's at easy money like mentioned before i ran for matheson postal for about a yr i worked all over the west coast in that yr i slept in the truck one time the reson for it was i was doin a truck transfor and didn't know where i was goin to be when my daily hrs ran out. every other time i was in a hotel if i was doin a long trip. the company flew me to different terminals to help other dispacthers. it was a great gig. if ur lookin to get into something like it now is the time the mail always picks up around the holidays and sometimes the companys keep a few guys around to rotate into the schulde thats how i got my foot in the door. i'm sure ur askin if i liked it so much why i only did it for a yr i also run heavy equipment out here so i got out of the truck to go back to doin that. i'm in the process right now since it's the winter to try and get back into mail as a temp driver for the holidays.

I know Southern Mail Services runs Houston. Possibly Bancroft & Sons.

That is patently untrue. Try having a run that runs through a scale on a daily basis at a certain time and they know the route. When your driver goes through said scale later than normal they have a tendency to now want to see your logs cause they know there's a chance you've exceeded a time rule or two. Happens all the time on one of our mail runs in the winter. Our mail trucks tend to get inspected more overall than our freight trucks.

Not true at all. Still have to follow DOT rules including logs.

sorry posted this in the wrong area. I was asking about USPS and was told they do NOT keep logs or follow DOT rules?
