Keep in mind I have no evidence one way or the other on this, but it's possible that was just the driver's excuse that the text was delayed due to lack of service or something and did not go through until he was back in the drivers seat and on the road.
It's just as possible that this went down as the driver stated in which case I feel bad for them, losing a good paying job over something like that would take a heavy toll.
I can't absolve or condemn the driver based on only this portion of the story.

Once upon a time Wal-Mart was one of the best to drive for and they were picky now it seems Wal-Mart has turned into every other company looking for drivers.
Rusty Trawler Thanks this. -
Some would say Walmart is still too picky because we do have pretty strict minimum qualifications and an extremely thorough background/employment investigation, but like every other job in the world it's not for everybody.
slim6596, Rusty Trawler and WallyWife Thank this. -
If something like that actually happened and the facts posted here were all accurate, than that is truly dirty pool on Wal-Mart's part.
But, after reading what you just said, I'm wondering now how or IF someone's innocence in such a case could be proven. -
I'm wondering how management saw the driver's cell phone records. As stated, they only get to pull records due to an accident. There is no constant or even random monitoring of drivers cell phone usage.WallyWife Thanks this.

I couldn't answer to either of those, over my pay grade kind of thing.

A little too coincidental for some...
-
As posted earlier, drivers sign a contract with WM that allows them access to their records at any time.
-
There was a big time lawsuit with Walmart over that some years back, 2010 or around then.
Pretty sure losing 20 mill or so makes a company hire a little more diversely. -
20 mil to walmart = what Subway charges for a footlong sub to the rest of us...
