Dont mention the 84 in a 65 if it is 3 yrs old & its off your driving record ( 3 yr driving history is what they usually ask for). Don't volunteer information if not asked for. Apply everywhere. I know you have given up that heavy foot right?. Don't be discouraged keep pursuing your goal. I hope all goes well for you.

That may be a problem but do continue to get the license if you want to drive. I had some issues to deal with when I was getting my CDL. I couldn't go to work for a mega carrier for a few months so I drove B trucks until things cleared up. Now I've been running for 10 years. Be patient if you have to wait for it clear up. It will work out.

Do the online applications before calling. Submit the online app. then wait a couple of days and call, "I'm checking on my job application." With those tickets, you will always get a "NO" answer over the phone, unless you have an application they can pull up on their computer.

Maybe talk to the instructors at the school... every school has ties with some company or know if local folks looking for help. And if they can vouch for your "change of focus" regarding the lead foot, maybe that will help to sway one of their contacts to give you a shot.

If not, as mentioned above, grab the CDL now and do anything until they fall off. Then find something that you want to do longer term.
