Heh. Moonshinin' used to be the family business for us, only a couple of generations ago...

Very interesting case, and interesting arrest situation.

I've had my fair share of the "white lightning"... It's not for the faint of heart!

I had the chance to but my Grand Dads still years ago when Grandma had her auction, It wasn't fit for use anymore but it was still a cool piece of history. I spent many hours looking at it as a kid and taking notes as to what was there and why.....Have never put anything I think I learned into practical application though....

We still go and visit my (Uncle Bob) in the Smokies when we get a chance.

Where he lives, there is no electricity, and you still use an outhouse. I love going there! YOU feel like you are way back in time and the stories these people have are awesome! (Aunt Benny) Her cooking is sensational and their place for a large cabin is clean. They get their mail by a man who rides by horse to bring it to them.

(Uncle Bob) plays many musical instruments so when company comes, its a party with neighbors bringing food and playing music to know end.:biggrin_25519:

That does sound like fun, Real live music is one of my favorite things, not concerts or shows in a bar..But sittin around with friends and a fire, thats living....A little "Kickapoo Joy Juice" doesn't hurt either....LOL..

My hubby's relatives make some pretty wicked Romanian moonshine that would curl your toenails and anything else it could. I haven't tried it myself (bit of a wimp), but I have seen the reactions of quite a few people that have. Very, very funny, especially coming from guys who think they are super tough!

The lifestyle and culture of "true" Appalachian folks is something that is truly amazing.

Your Aunt and Uncle sound like they are a real blast to be around!
