let get this going again ... if its no one else on your side of the road and you have your FOG lights on you get my led trux highbeams . if your going to have 4 lights turned on i will return the favor hell highbeams are better then some of these fog light and low beam combos the early to mid 2000 chevy trucks come to mind... fog lights serve no purpose on clear nights all they do is light up maybe 2 feet in front of you and that same two feet behind the low beams out to the side if your looking there your more likely to have a accident because you didnt see the traffic stopped a 1/8 mile up the road.

NO, they have no value as far as lighting the road when it is clear, all they do is blind oncoming traffic. Only recent graduates of the "Swift Driving Academy" do this anyway, right?

I like the ones that have one burned out but still have to flick the switch. Never said truckers were smart!

I use large amber ones. The better to cut through the snow I am pushing with the front bumper.

Otherwise, I save it for the far west where there is no one around. Heck, locomotives a mile away are nice to turn off the beam temporarly when they sweep us all on the interstate.

I only leave them on because so many people think I'm using my highbeans due to the 2016 Freightliner's being so white/brught (HiD's?), and turn their highbeams on as I pass and leave them on. If they would notice the difference, the fogs do NOT stay on with the highbeams. But usually they don't know or don't notice that anyway. Yes, I've had them adjusted. And AMEN to those bumper/center mounted floodlights being annoying as hades.

I've noticed a new "trend", that's REALLY ANNOYING. It's a white LED strip light, usually mounted on the front bumper somewhere near center. Them dadgum things are really blinding early mornings coming at you.

smf, MACK E-6 and Pintlehook Thank this.
