I agree, I'm not going to continue to argue, and you are entitled to disagree, but I stated in depth the true experiences I had with Conway in May 2015. As I stated the reasons I quit was the following:

    - Condition of the assigned truck
    - Specs of the truck(s)
    - Low pay & miles
    - Medical Benefits
    - Assigned Fuel Routing (At the time I was there)
    - Driver face cameras (LTL)
    - Instability of the Conway truckload division constantly changing ownership.

I'm done with stating my in-depth experience with them. I'm moving on. Best of luck to you.

I worked for Conway Truckload for one year and then left and went to Conway Freight for a short time.

For minor repairs that didn't need immediate attention yes they would have you wait until you came back through Joplin but it was something more serious they had no problem sending me to a KW dealer or anywhere for that matter to get fixed. For other minor things I would make a list up drop the truck off at the shop in Joplin and when it was done everything I put on my list would be fixed. I thought the shop in Joplin was great. I had a T2000 that was older but well maintained. I never once had to fuel at a Conway freight Terminal. I was able to fuel anytime/anywhere I wanted as long as it was a Pilot/flying J.

The drop lot in KC has a fuel stop you pass right before turning into the lot and a huge Casino across the street so I don't see an issue with only have portopotties. And the little guard trailer did have AC.

I do agree that most of the CFI trailers were all old junk. And yes all trucks have super singles.

Had a feeling that this would happen to Conway Truckload Division , sad to see good drivers get the short end of the stick. It was the money loosing part of XPO. :? (

CFI paid xpo to help them get started the CONWAY bought out CFI then CONWAY breached contract by selling to XPO a clause in CFIs contract with CONWAY as result XPO had to pay a amount to CFI to pay remander of the loan. but, XPO didnt want truckload just Freight for montha they tried to decide then when they decided CFI convinced them if u sell us truckload well drop charged and breach of contract and basically call it even.
i left XPO aFter 8 monthsafor ROEHL big mistake 4 months later im voinv back to CFI. never had big issues former military so after my first month they offered me a 16 kw full auto only 639 miles on it. i left with it having 74097 miles

The purchase, now public, was made by Transforce Inc. Yes they are a Canadian company, but they are rapidly becoming one of the largest in North America. They also own Transport America out of Egan MN and two years ago bought Contrans one of Canada's bigger players. Contrans was the parent company owning Laidlaw Carriers based in Ontario. The official word is, TransForce plans to return to the CFI name that was originally used by the founders in 1951. Regardless of what Conway or XPO did in the past, this is a new era for CFI. 50% of TransForce's operations are truckload. Their equipment on both sides of the border is in excellent condition. Single driver trucks are no more than 4 years old and trailers less than 10. I have no idea what the plans are for terminals, pays, fuel or any of the items guys are complaining about. All I know is that I doubt the new CFI will be run like the old Conway and some might want to give it a chance or at least wait and see before condeming the new ownership.

Hmmm, sounds like high dollar stock swaps to me.

I did get an offer from them once but turned it down because I'd rather not get a Hazmat license.

We also were contracted to do final mile for them. Ugh! The work wasn't hard at all, it was a pretty gravy day compared to my usual work, but almost all the packages were damaged when I took custody of them. One guy even refused delivery. (Which he said he keeps doing)

Anyway when I mentioned to the terminal manager the unusually high amount of damaged freight, the white collar side was upset but felt there was nothing they could do, meanwhile I personally witnessed their fork jockeys getting "rammy" with freight!

Sheesh! You could start by getting out from behind your desk and controlling your own people!

You worked there for a month man, that's about as in depth as a post card. Sounds like you got fired to me.

yep i remember the old CFI, they had truck rodeos at the joplin yard and heard the dispatch room was designed like the nasa control room always wanted to drive those red ant-eaters, tried twice to drive for them fist time had only 6 months of driving in 97 after my company went under not enough experice they said.. again in 02 after bieng with one company over 5 years and was told becuase of my first try they couldnt' hire me then.. the funny thing is they hired an ex co-driver in 99. who rolled a truck years before and who quit because of being downgraded to 2nd sit becaue of bad driving and work ethics...js

CFI used to have that racing truck that they ran, I think, at Pikes Peak. Drivers used to call each other "Red Racer" on the CB.
