When a flat bed guy days freight is horrible, he is saying it's horrible compared to what he is used to. Its still much better than van at any given time. Basically what I'm saying is that flatbed driver that sat 2 days is still making more money than the van guy that ran 6 days. Ya can't look at your income by the day, or even by the week. You gotta look at it by the month or quarter.

Im not sure i agree with you on the flatbed setting 2 days vs the van rollin 6.
Maybe thats how it is where your at, i have a freind thats doing half way decent compared to some of the flatbed stuff. Its really just luck of the draw right now in my opinion. Thats why im not pulling either one anymore.Oscar the KW Thanks this. -
It was a generalized statement about averages. I'm sure there is someone pulling a van that is making killer money averaging 3 bucks a mile and there is someone pulling a multi able rgn for a buck 30 a mile. But if you grab two random guys and compare what they are doing, the guy pulling open deck will be making more per month than the guy pulling a van.Lepton1 Thanks this.

Didn't see your post until today. Probably too late, but go with Danny Herman Trucking for dry van and for tanker teams go with Trimac Transportation.
