I know very very little about where Volvo is at price wise. I have a buddy who is looking at buying a Volvo. It is a 2013 Volvo I do not know the Volvo model numbers, but it has the D13 motor 13 spd with 3:36 rears. It's a road truck well maintained with 1/2 million miles on it. I turn to you guys because I haven't priced a Volvo out in 27 yrs. where should the price be at for a truck like this. I need a ballpark figure. A Pete or kenworth in this condition with these miles would be in the 70-80,000$ range. The guy selling it said to make an offer. It's important that the offer not too low and turn the guy off, but it can't be too high for obvious reasons. I understand that these trucks are everywhere and are a dime a dozen, which makes me think the price should be in the 60 range, does that make sense or am I way off?
Also what should he be looking at? Where are the trouble spots on these trucks?
Thanks,
Need help Volvo price

Go to truck paper, search for 2013 Volvo with 500k miles and you will get an idea
Voorhees84 and Crusader66 Thank this. -
I went there, that's where I'm getting those figures. I asked on here because you guys have bought, sold and driven these models. Figured it would be best to ask someone that's not a salesman. I was actually hoping to hear from you, I thought you were a Volvo guy.

He should do the same thing he would do when he would look at other trucks.
Also he should go ask a dealer what the breakdown of the model numbers are. They also know the value of the trucks. -
You have a buddy looking at buying a Volvo........ suuuuuuuure.....
ramblingman, passingthru69 and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
It's like I'm speaking a different language. Thanks for your input. It's not that important to me. I told a friend I would poke around with some Volvo guys and get some feedback. So I'll relay your answers of go to the dealership and ask them and visit truck paper to come up with a price.
Gotta hand it to you fellas you know your volvos. -
I saw some 2013 VNL670's in truckpaper with less miles than that in the $45000-$50,000 price range and I thought that wasn't too bad. I think $60,000 is too much but everybody I know who has a truck thinks their truck is worth more than it really is. Truckpaper is where i'd tell him to look. All over the country not just northeast region.
BUMBACLADWAR Thanks this. -
He is in your area. Johnson city Tn. The truck is in Bristol Va. I dunno man, personally I told him to leave it alone. But he wants a truck to put a driver in and thinks this one could be decent. I was surprised to see that new ones are in the 140,000$ range. Let's be honest it's a Volvo. I thought this would be a good place to get some info. My fault lol
Thanks Rollin coal, but it's really no big deal man. -
I don't know how to paste links from my phone or I could post links on some of those 300,000-400,000 miles 2013 Volvos a lot cheaper that I was looking at. I think he is over paying @ $60k but sometimes guys home in on that one truck and nothing will deter them.
