I failed to add in the previous post that the 177148 is a wastegated turbo, and minor adaptation is required for the oil return tube to miss the wastegate.

    Look ive
put numerous 177148's on B models in place of stock turbos and have never had to modify any of the oil lines... the drain tube interferes with the standard wastegate mounting bracket and requires only different holes to be drilled in the bracket to make it work without sourcing or buying any different oil lines or you can get a drain tube from a E model to make it a plug and play install.

That's how I installed it on mine as well.

That sounds easy enough. I have an oil leak at the rear of the fuel pump between the pump and block. It seems to seal up once everything heats up. I was wondering if Lucas Oil Stop Leak would work to fatten up seal so i can wait to pull the pump till I've made a little money. I know its fine as ling as i keep an eye on the oil but my wife complains about the spots in the driveway.

Should you happen to get one with the large was gate canister the factory flexible line makes for a much cleaner look then a bent up solid line.

    SAR and Oxbow Thank this.

E model lines work the best because they flex.

Look im not trying to fight with anyone here at all and you guys want to spend money on stuff thats un needed thats your buisness too. But if you look at the bracket on the wastegate actuator their is bunch of different mounting holes for different turbo mounting arrangements. Thats how i figured out that the lines work. With no modifications. First one i did was in the middle of the night, nothing opened and guy had a load on for NC and couldnt wait. Ill take pictures of others ive done later on today. Again im not tryin to figh or be a ###. Just tryna make sure everyone is well aware of their options if the need should ever arrise.

    SAR Thanks this.

This is a BW 175963, there are no holes for movement, and really if you don't keep those holes in the same distance from westegate lever you are changing the tension on the waste gate spring which could cause it not to open or to open too early.

I built a new bracket for mine that set it away from engine a bit. I then cut the spot weld and readjusted the linkage so that it functions as designed ( gate opens @ 25 psi). It would have been just as easy to get a line from an E model.
