rtlo 13 , doesn't want to split gears until it"warms up"? High/Low works fine, just the splitter. Any thoughts?
    Thanks, Johnny

  3. Couple questions.

    1. Any air hissing sound from by the shifter boot?
    2. When activating splitter, do you hear any clicks or noises from movement of switch.?
    3. Define cold? Is it San Diego and just starting truck. Or -40° Northern Canada cold?

lastgoodusername and Bean Jr. Thank this.

I had the same problem with the high/low selector and the air switch just needed to be rebuilt. I guess they can get gummed up from oil in the system.

    3. NC now , cold in relation to operating temp, regular outside temps, 30-40 in the morning, when this occurs.

Cold makes hoses and fittings shrink. You might have a press in fitting starting to go bad.
I would check the lines where they connect to transmission.
    Good luck.

You will have to replace the 0/rings on the piston that works spliter on rear of back box, clean everything as you take it apart

remove the air lines at the shifter and put a few drops of mystery oil in. Not too much.

    Yup.
Just have to pull apart the spliter on the back end of trans and put new O-ring s on the slave.

Your talking about two different air shifters. The main box is high and low and the back box is what your talking about. I would when its cold go under the back box and have some operate the rear splitter. Check for air leaks and you maybe able to feel the splitter trying to work and binding up.
    That's where I would start.
