Editable ELD

Big roads and keep trucking work just like paper only in electronic form. However I believe once the Bluetooth plug in is synced with the device editing the drive line goes away. I could be wrong

 

There is no stand alone device that meets the requirements of the eobr mandate. Guess I'm not understanding what you're point is.

I am quite sure that dispatch (no matter what size the carrier) will ALWAYS find a way around the Hours of Service regulations, as will those drivers who choose to ignore regulations. For the larger carriers with 100% or more turnover, it will be easy peasy! Just tell the brand spanking new rookie to either run the truck or they will never drive truck again.

The government can regulate all they want. All they are doing is punishing those who actually run safe. The "bad actors" will ALWAYS be bad actors, and no amount of regulation will stop them.

 

I do expect some enterprising soul to come up with a way to "ghost" the ECM into the ELD device, making the device record the ghost, not the actual ECM.

(a) If a driver edits or annotates an ELD record or enters missing information, the act must not overwrite the original record.

 

Yes there are.. You plug the ELD into the Deuche Plug and a Dongle will BT back to your Electronic device be it a Phone or Tablet. The ELD does not have to be hard wired.

 

My question is, why is anyone posting ways to get around them on a public forum?. keep quiet and go about your business. sheesh just feed the authorities more reason to crack down. some times keeping things to yourself and discussing in private to others is necessary.
