Hi guys! I've been checking out this site for a while and decided to join today.
I'm curious about stamped weight of kW t680's. Specifically ones with ISX Cummins motors rated at 1850lb ft and the driveline they require. Probably the tall 76 inch sleeper too but curious how much lighter the short roof version is.I've heard leaving the lower fairings off saves 400 lbs?
Only interested in actual stamped weights. Thanks!

Ya, you usually find it on a tag in the door jamb along with motor tranny and rear axle info. It's a good way to compare trucks because it's what it weighs fresh off the assembly line. Thanks

The number is way lighter than reality but it's good for comparison purposes. I'm just curious how light you can get a large sleeper t680 without going to a lighter motor and driveline. Thanks

I don't believe that I can help you, but I would like to help you. But my help would be more in line with constructive criticism than stats and numbers. I am assuming that you are in the market for a truck. I am assuming that you pull open deck.

Are you looking for help or just stats and numbers only?

I need lots of help. I got back into otr trucking about six months ago and surprisingly I'm enjoying it. Dads about to retire so I've been thinking about taking over his equipment but we've been talking about trading his million mile truck in on a new or close to new one.
We are both pulling 53' aluminum flats with QuickDraw tarping systems so weight is sometimes an issue. I'm mainly curious if deleting lower fairings on a 680 drops 400 lbs like I have been told. Also would get disc brakes, fixed aluminum 5th wheel, etc..
Just curious how light they can get without going with the Parcar motor. Thanks for your response.
