1999 N-14,525hp. Truck sat 7 mo's.( I meant 1 YEAR and 7mo's) jumped it off, started right up. drove 8 miles, seemed low on power bobtailing but thought it was old fuel. Truck sat 2 more weeks and would not fire! Its not getting fuel, none! will run on starting fluid.
power to fuel solenoid--good
REPLACED fuel solenoid
Fuel filter replaced
fuel pressure 25 lb cranking over 100 lb running on starting fluid
checked ECM cooler--ok
check valve @ cooler --ok
REPLACED cam sensor
noid light flashing
cleaned all grounds
no ECM codes
REPLACED ECM
REPLACED wiring harness, from ecm to all sensors and injectors
STILL will not start, still no fuel,
NEW__as of today. I have 1/4 inch of black sludge in the bottom of fuel tanks!
So I ran the fuel return line into a bucket, ran the suction line to pump into a different bucket with 1 gal of new fuel and 80 oz of diesel kleen by power service. I cranked engine and the return fuel was BLACK!!
I will leave the system sit with cleaner in it! Don't know if this will work!
Will the power service brake down the black tar that must have the injectors plugged.
If that turns out to be the issue? next how do I clean the 1/4 of tar out of the tanks!
OK now I have been reading that the real problem happened when I shut the truck off. Saying the heat crystallized the tar/fuel in the tips of the injectors!!??
Now wondering, Injector cleaner in system all night. If I hooked compressed air to fuel rail and cranked truck would that blow out the crystallized tar. Would it do more harm the good?
N-14 no start, not getting fuel. head scratcher!!

Seriously though, check pick up tube in tank for blockage.
Friend was coming back to Phx from LA and truck quit in Blythe, tank showing half full. Looked in tank and it was half full, other tank empty. Saw something floating in the bottom. Got a coat hanger and pulled it out, was a napkin someone threw in there clogging the pick up tube. -
Yes there is fuel in the tanks, LOL
Even put new fuel in the filter to check if the fuel was bad.
When I replace the filter I pored in out on the ground to check for trash. It came out clean. -
I have looked in the tanks and everything look normal

I am thinking the next step will be to plumb fuel lines in and out of a bucket of injector cleaner!!
Hard to believe all injectors could plug up!! I am at a loss here! -
Check splitter valve that returns fuel to tanks, mine was leaking and was causing a long crank issue.

Ok, to double check ecm, check for RPM on tach when cranking. If that is good and you are getting 100 psi of fuel pressure when running on starting fluid, I would say all 6 injectors are stuck from the old fuel that was inside of them.

Possible, but it will have to sit to allow it to soak in. Also, remove your rocker covers and spray a good quality penetrate spray right on the injectors themselves all around the return springs in the center where the plunger is. It may not be fuel that has gummed up, but a carbon dam around the plungers and barrel of the injector itself. You may have to spray, let sit for a day, crank to allow the penetrant and injector cleaner to work in a bit, spray again and let sit for another day and repeat as needed. Also, does this show RPM while cranking?
