I was just notified that CoPilot Truck (US & Canada) went on Sale... was $150 now $120

Not as big a discount as the last two years but it seems this is the only time of year that it goes on sale.

Reviews are mixed but it's worth it as a second screen or back up to a GPS.

If you want to try it out first the Auto Version is only like $10.... if you like it, jump up to the Truck Version.

Is it better than Waze for a car?

    I only briefly used Waze...

I think CoPilot is a very good "Map" App and would be good for car use for sure... I personally have had some concerns about the "truck specific features" but others swear by it as a great Truck GPS.

One thing CoPilot has going for it over an App like Waze is all the maps are downloaded directly to your iPhone or iPad... so, as long as it has a GPS signal, it will work ... and without ongoing data costs too.

Waze has the "social" aspect of seeing other drivers in the area and directly reporting events and issues to the app for others to see... CP is just a Map App.

They have a version for Android too.
The cost/sale above is for their iOS version.

The android version should be the same price.

It won't tell me what it is since i already have it installed. And it's the ONLY thing i've used the entire 6 years OTR. Minus 2 weeks of trying out RM.

I have it on Android and it says only $80 for a year of the voice turn by turn truck navigation. That's like $40 off. I have been using it because of the download map data. Google maps I was using like 3 GB of data every month. So having the maps data on the phone is a nice option.

Where are you all finding these monthly and yearly fees? they don't show up for me. I only get the full price which still won't show for me because I already bought it.

They now have monthly plans $9.99 and yearly for the voice turn by turn and traffic info. If you download the app and open it. It now says $7.99 a month or $80 for a year. I'm not sure if it a sale or a new lower price. You can also just get the maps and navigation without voice and traffic info for $29.99 in the app

Be cheaper to buy it outright if you use it more then a yearly. To which I used for 6 years.
