One of the silliest things. I wonder why a SAFETY-oriented company incentivizes driving in the rain without windshield wipers...
Friday Thanks this. -
Your windshield wipers turn off when it rains????
-
The last tractor I had before I left was programmed to deactivate the cruise when the wipers were activated. Are they still doing that?
I found it bizarre that I was told to feather the throttle for hours during rain so you're not going into the "not allowed" speed territory. -
All the tractors do that. Why would you have your cruise on when it's raining?
-
They must've done away with that. Surprisingly enough. I was driving my new truck for about 2 months before I figured out that the wipers aren't disabled with cruise anymore.Friday and milehunter43 Thank this.

I ended up going to Rain-X. Couldn't deal with the unnecessary stress of "omg can't go more than 60, better back off the throttle!"
If they didn't have the silly overspeed thing, I would've been okay with complying with their no-cruise policy.
Either they made a logical decision, or somebody forgot to set the parameters of your truck correctly
-
I know they were working on a fix so when you had them on delay or just the fluid it wouldn't disable the cruise.
-
Policy aside, WHY would you use your cruise when it's raining?
-
I answered your question above.
