Prostar another truck I know very little about. He said the guy wanted 40, he talked him down to 35, then he was ready to walk away. He went home and 3 hrs later the guy called and said he would take 32,000 but it needed to be in full. So he went back over and picked it up. Time will tell if it's a good buy,

    #### good deal. Tell him to sock some money away for injectors and sensors. Mine went through a few of each at around 500k but has been solid for the last 150k

Yeah, my Prostar comment was in jest. Those things with the Maxxforce engine are an absolute abortion.

To give you an example of these truck values. I worked on the inside of a company that had staggered years of Volvos, 2010 through 2015 by the time I left.

These trucks were under full maintenance 5 year leases. The owner would turn most of them back in before the 500k mile mark. The residuals on those 2013/630 series was about $20,000. Anything the leasing company could get above that residual amount was and is cream. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. That's life.

Your friend got a fair deal. But like some others have said, I hope he has some cushion for potential repairs.

This isn't the truck for him, I dunno why he was so bent I buying it. he hasn't owned a truck newer then 2002. First one he bought was in 1970. I think once he realizes the new ones are different animals, the truck will be out the door. He has a new account, this truck will be put on that. If the truck fails it's ok, if the account is a bust, it's ok. If the account is a good one, the truck will be gone and I would put money on either an A model KW or 379 Pete in there pullin freight out. But who knows maybe it will be a home run buying this truck.
