If you ran a business where the government was going to FORCE everybody to buy a product you sold (and penalize them for NOT buying it), you'd support it, too.

Show me where the Constitution states the government is responsible for paying the medical bills of any individual?

Bottom line, you only have the "right" to the best medical care you can afford to pay for. Involuntary servitude was prohibited under the 13th Amendment, so doctors cannot be forced to provide their services for free. Don't have the cash right now? Work out a payment arrangement with the doctor...at least then patching you up is in his best interest. If you die, the payments stop.

A typical uninsured citizen when he gets hurt/develops life threatening illness will first seek medical help and think about three digit bills only later. Then when the three digit bill arrives, and there is a threat of losing his house and assets, a typical uninsured citizen does not read the Constitution but rather wants this to be taken care of by somebody else - Medicaid for example, or charities. When they made it possible for everyone to get Obamacare, I thought it was a good thing. Everybody chips in, everybody is taken care of. So to paraphrase this, all right don't let the government force you buy the health insurance, but if you get sick and die don't beg for help either.

Another fact is that there is no way to tell doctors and hospitals to agree to earn less. So, how about flying over to Belgium for bypass surgeries or Holland for a hip replacement?

I don't see it as a product, but a liability coverage rather. But yes, you should not be forced to it on the condition that you agree to perish, if you can't pay for your chemo. God forbid.

How about everyone pays the same they shouldn't beable to accept 30% payment in full from blue cross while taking my house because I could only pay 50% . It absurt to have these crazy high Inflated medical bills so they can write it off as a loss at end of the year and the. Ruining people that have no or poor insurance...

The way it could have been fixed is one or two simple lines in a law passed by congress that established a rule that anyone can be covered with preexisting conditions AND more importantly to allow people to buy insurance across state lines.

There are other improvements that would help too, like stopping states from mandating coverage - I will never need a vaginoplasty so why should I pay for it but it is required by the state that my insurance company pays for that service. The same goes for tattoo removal, my insurance covers up to $11,000.

That's all that was needed, it would have fixed 99.9999% of the problems everyone who complained about not having health insurance.

What people don't understand is health insurance is a shared obligation, if I'm paying x and use little of it, then that money goes for others to use. The costs are distributed across the members. Now the system is amplified under that scheme where Obama care is overly dependent on young people buying into the exchange to pay for those others but at a higher cost and without regards of who is covered and for what.

But just think, now an additional 20 million people are insured who couldn't afford it before ;-)
